Fred: Always the Mailman

When mail sits for too long in the box outside of his long term care facility, Fred gets impatient. He was a mail carrier for many decades, and delivery is not to be ignored.

Fred lives in a Green House, the latest in “non-insitutional” long term care. Intrigued?

Watch a short video of Fred here.

Read about Green Houses here.

And read about both in my upcoming book, Aging Our Way: Lessons for Living from 85 and Beyond, to be published in October.

PS – Fred rarely remembers my name, but he always remembers my address.  Ninety-eight years old and still thinking like a mail carrier. Makes me wonder, as a professor, will I still be living my life in semester-like time chunks at his age?
